A Nightmare Rides My Bus!
Q: What's up with the "Nightmares"?
A: Nightmares are beings that haunt, scare, or kill people who are deemed to deserve it in order to make the world a better place. They keep their world a nice place to live in simply because it seems to want to fall into darkness. Think of them as the shadowy superheroes- they do good things, but it doesn't mean that they're goody two-shoes. The "evil" people that are on the receiving end of the stick have the level of their punishment chosen by how bad they are and what they've been doing. Nightmares only get a group of kills once a year, usually a group of really rotten teenagers. Unfortunately, among this group is the Last Girl Standing, or the Survivor Girl, if one prefers. They are most normally girls, and very good and pure (or mostly pure, anyway). The Nightmares have to guess (as they're never told) which one is going to be the good girl and then be "defeated" by the Last Girl in an epic showdown. Sometimes the Last girls come back and are killed, or they defeat the Nightmare once again. And once in a rare while, it's Guy Survivor. Usually before (or after, even during sometimes) a kill, a "Seer" will see the Nightmare's kill, and thinking it's their own idea, make it into a story or movie, which is what the humans see. (Seers are fully explained below)
The Nightmares themselves were humans; perfectly normal (or their definition of normal), good, happy people. At some point in their lives, they were wrongly accused of a crime they didn't commit and were, in turn, killed for it, in some way or another. At some point during their afterlife (their souls would've aged during this time, making their bodies older too), they were apparently "picked" to become a sort-of vengeful ghost, or a Nightmare. They were trained for years to hone-in on their individual powers and specialties, and then were given their first haunt/kill.
*Advantages to being a Nightmare: Special powers, invincibility, ever-lasting life, teleportation, heightened senses, invisibility, justice-deliverer
*Disadvantages: Haters, fangirls, family members hate you, no chance for children
Note: A lot of Nightmares claim to have spotted a "Golden-Eyed Man" (think of the Three-armed man story with convicts) before dying, most normally next to their killer(s) or amongst a crowd. (The "Golden-Eyed Man" is explained below)
*Example of a Nightmare's Story: Seven-year-old Michael Myers was a perfectly normal, happy child with his older sister, Judith Myers, his mother, father, and baby sister. On Halloween Night, 1963, he was upstairs with his sister and her boyfriend while their parents were out. The baby was asleep, and the three others were playing a game. Judith's boyfriend went downstairs to get a snack when someone broke into the house. Instantly killing the boyfriend, the man went upstairs and startled Judith and Michael with Judith's boyfriend's dismembered head, and then proceeded to kill Judith. Young Michael could only stare in horror as her death unfolded before him. Struck silent by the event, his parents came home to find tow people dead, with Michael covered in blood and the weapon held in his hands. Accused of first-degree murder and declared criminally insane, he was sent to Smith's Grove Asylum, where he spent a while in his cell, staring at the wall, silent at a grave. Dr. Samuel Loomis tried to make contact with him, believing him to be insane too, but was unable to break through the shell. Finally, only a matter of months after being submitted into the asylum, Michael Myers died from mysterious circumstances. What replaced him to fool the attendants and Dr. Loomis for the next fifteen years is still unknown. Meanwhile, his soul was kept in check for ten years before he was "awoken" and asked to become a Nightmare. From his acceptance, he was trained to the killer as we know today, but still has yet to speak even a word.
Q: Who is Fate's Creature (FC)? What's his story?
A: Fate's Creature(or FC) is...Fate's personification, basically. Some might say he's "all of Fate's rage", but that's an understatement. FC just makes sure that all of Fate's orders are carried out, which are a lot more than one might think (or less, really). Fate normally just lets things happen, and the Anti-Fates (or things that didn't happen) get tossed aside and are usually never seen again. Once in a while, though, things must happen or the world will change dramatically. Then, FC intervenes and makes sure those orders are carried out. The only big event was the second Logic and Magic war, and only there was FC's true rage and power unleashed. FC's powers are claimed to be unlimited, but he has never been seen fighting. No Logicals or Magicals recal his fight, and not even the Nightmares have ever sparred seriously with him. His main powers seem to be seeing some parts of Fate and the future/past/present.
Normally, FC's day job is hanging out with the Nightmares, training the newbies, or doing other various things. He now claims to be trying to hunt down the Nightmare Hunters, but everyone suspects he already knows who they are and who their Leader is. That's another thing about him (that certainly frustrates the Nightmares)- he won't tell people things even if he knows what's going to happen. He appears to know the existence of the Golden-Eyed Man, the Nightmare Hunters, all of the Nightmare's existing relatives, and what happened to the Nightmare's loved ones (or the people killed by the Golden-Eyed Man). However, he refuses to say anything of the matter, even when under threat.
Q: Who are the Nightmare Hunters? Who is their Leader?
A: The Nightmare Hunters are a group of people who feel that the Nightmares are unjustly ‘playing God’ in a sense, and need to be stopped. They are a mix of haters, Last Girls, and relatives of Last Girls and the deceased. Not much else is known about them, other than they have several stations throughout the US and they train rigorously. Also, there’s news that they have figured out a way to kill Nightmares, but this is unconfirmed.
Alas, I cannot reveal anything about their Leader, other than he’s very encouraging a good leader figure. He supposedly has a couple of distinguishing features on him, and has special powers and links with FC.
Q: Who are the Creations? What about the Creator?
A: The Creations are beings made from clay and kept alive by their Dragonfire, spirits of dragons. They look human, speak like a human, and act like a human, but they aren’t (or all of the above apply to whatever they look like). They can heal small wounds quickly, don’t bleed, and don’t die by normal circumstances. They can age if they want too, but their life lasts as long as their Creator wills it to, which can be forever.
All creations have a Creator, or a source of Dragonfire that made them and gave them life. They don’t entirely depend upon this Creator to live, but they consider this person very close. However, even closer than the Creator is the Character Creator, or the Creation’s true creator. The Character Creator (CC) came up with the Creation’s design, personality, powers, and life story. In this sense, they are the true “creators” of the Creations.
And yes, the original “Creation” idea belongs to Chris D’Lacey.
Q: Who is "The Golden Eyed Man"? What's his influence?
A: The "Golden-Eyed Man" (or Goldy, as I him) is a character that the Nightmares usually claim they see before their death. Right before, too. He is an allusive character, and many outsiders think he's fictional, much like the famous "Three-armed man" many convicts claim did their crime. However, FC has confirmed in Goldy's existence, and he has confirmed that Goldy committed the crime the Nightmares were accused of [i.e., killing the Elm Street kids (Nightmare on Elm Street), murdering George Denburough (IT)] or was there to make sure the Nightmares died [i.e., hypnotizing and distracting counselors as Camp Crystal Lake (Friday the 13th)]. He "is always there", and makes sure he has killed or "helped" the Nightmares into their position.
Unfortunately, that's all that I can reveal for now. Sorry! ^^
There's Always a Light in the Darkness
Q: What's the thing about "Logicals" and "Magicals"?
A: Please go here: http://thetalkingabsol.weebly.com/the-theory-of-logic-and-magic.html
Q: What's a "Tainted"?
A: A Tainted is a being (usually a Magical) that was given only a small amount of Logical DNA in order to ready them to become a Logical at a later time. Most Logicals hoped the Taint would overcome the Magical DNA, but Taints were so recessive that plan never worked. However, Taints were found to be useful for their first purpose, especially if they became full Logicals at a later time. Unfortunately, Logicals didn’t quite see the drawbacks of Taints…
or perhaps the advantages. >>
Q: What's a "Halfling"?
A: A Halfling is a half Logical, half Magical being. Most of the time, they think like a Logical but have the powers of a Magical. Once in a rare while (and even the Deep Magic doesn’t understand this) they think like a Magical but act like a Logical. Sometimes, they think like a mix of both. However, remember that Logicals are primarily thinkers, and Magicals are…not. Not in the same way, of course.
Q: What happened to Zim? Is he good, or evil?
A: Okay, sorry, but I can’t answer that right now. Maybe once TALIND gets past this wretched hiatus. Just don’t think that all Logicals are pure evil. They just want to question and experiment! XD
General
Q: Who's above Fate?
A: It’s very complicated. Above Fate is the One Above Fate (God, of course), but that holds no limit for the other side.
Sorry, that means that the evil forces that we know of opposite God are above Fate too. Less powers than God, of course, but still above Fate. Nobody considers him. Her. Whatever.
The driving forces behind those two are Good and Evil, more ancient than Time and a helluva lot more powerful, too. Their theory will be posted shortly, hopefully, but that’s not my point here. Behind everything except them is Death, because Death is just awesome like that, but the driving forces behind everything, and I mean EVERYTHING are…yet to be revealed. XDXD
I do have everything worked out, but I’m just not going to tell you people until I can get somemore sleep.
